93,000 doses of vaccine are being transported to 11 provinces under police protection.


The Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene, Deputy Prime Minister S.Amarsaikhan, Minister of Health S.Enkhbold and Minister of Finance B.Javkhlan participated in the event to intensify the distribution of vaccines to local areas. Today, 93,000 doses of vaccine are being transported to 11 provinces under police protection. There are 808,284 people aged 18-50 and 305,950 people over the age of 50 living in rural areas. Vaccination of people over the age of 50 started on May 1, 2021. The Government of Mongolia and the State Special Commission are organizing a phased immunization campaign and aim to complete the full vaccination of people living and working in rural areas by July 2021. From April 30 to May 1, 2012, the vaccine was distributed to 11 provinces as follows.

Those are:

· Arkhangai 7,200 doses

· Gobisumber 4,000 doses

· UmnuGobi 18,200 doses

· Orkhon 10,000 doses

· Tuw aimag 13,100 doses

· Bulgan 14,441 doses

· Sukhbaatar 8,000 doses

· Khentii 7,200 doses

· Gobi- Altai 12,800 doses

· DundGobi 4,400 doses

· Uwurkhangai 22,000 doses distributed. Additional vaccinations added following provinces:

· UmnuGobi14,000 doses

· Sukhbaatar 8,000 doses

· Khowd aimag 13,000 doses

· Arkhangai 10,000 doses

· GobiSumber 4,000 doses

· Bayankhongor 10,000 doses

· Khentii 6,000 doses

· DornoGobi 13,000 doses

· Tuw province 6,000 doses

· DundGobi 5,000 doses

· Darkhan-Uul 4,000 dose,

Total 93,000 dose vaccination, 18 hospital car, 7 cop cars, will be distributed in 11 provinces.

The Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene said at today's event, “The priority of the Government of Mongolia is to vaccinate its citizens, to study possible options and to intensify vaccination. Currently, 43% of the target group has received the first dose of the vaccine.
